My new song is out now !!

I'm writing this at 9pm from the sofa in my living room and I can hear the seagulls calling and see the lights glowing gold in the houses across the bay.

And by the time you're reading this, my new song "Are You Too Ashamed To Call?" will be out everywhere!

This song symbolises a lot of "firsts" – It's the first song I've ever co-written (I wrote it with my husband Tom) and it's the first song I've worked on with a new producer / collaborator Grace Gardner.

Grace is an artist whose music has soundtracked my past 2 years, I'm so grateful that they took the chance on me and that we got to work together.

Put simply – it's a snarky, fun song about being ghosted and wondering why someone won't call you back and I love that it's a little more pop-vibes than what I've worked on before.

Tom wrote the chords, we recorded it in our little studio on a farm in Cornwall, our friend Sam, who shares the space with us, did the drums and sings in the gang vocals (and does a lot of clapping in the bridge!)

and then Grace, over in the USA, produced it and added their own backing vocals into the second verse (which to me feels like a warm hug)

It was inspired by getting ghosted myself and also by different storylines from films I love (Little Women in particular!)

I'm so proud of it and I really hope you like it too.
